4 Hacks for Changing Wax Melts in Your Wax Burner

If you're a fan of wax melts, you know that changing them in a wax burner can be a bit of a challenge. Removing the old wax can be messy and time-consuming, but there are a few tricks you can use to make the process easier. Here are three different ways to change wax melts in a wax burner:

1. Light the Wax Burner for a Few Seconds to Loosen the Wax

One of the easiest ways to remove old wax from a wax burner is to light the burner for a few seconds. This will help loosen the wax, making it easier to remove. Simply turn on the burner and let it heat up for a few seconds. Then, use a paper towel or a cloth to wipe away the melted wax.

2. Use the Freezer

Another trick to remove old wax from a wax burner is to use the freezer. First, make sure the wax has cooled and hardened completely. Then, place the entire burner in the freezer for a few minutes (or longer if necessary). After the wax has frozen, gently push the wax and it should just pop out of the burner. Please note, this method is only recommended for ceramic wax melt burners, glass ones could smash.

3. Soak up the Wax with a Cotton Wool Ball

If you prefer not to use heat or the freezer to remove old wax from your wax burner, you can try soaking up the wax with a cotton wool ball. Light a tea light and make sure that the wax is fully melted. Then, take a cotton wool ball and press it into the wax. The wax should stick to the cotton wool ball, making it easy to remove. You may need to use several cotton wool balls to remove all the wax.

4. Using a Bowl of Hot Soapy Water

Additionally, there is a fourth way to change wax melts in a wax burner that you may find useful. You can simply place the wax burner in a hot bowl of soapy water, ensuring that no water enters the wax burner where the wax is. Wait for the burner to warm up and the wax to soften, then carefully pop out the wax and clean the burner. This method is especially useful if you want to clean your wax burner thoroughly as it allows for easy removal of any wax residue. Remember to let the wax burner dry completely before using it again. With these four methods, you can switch out your wax melts with ease and keep your wax burner looking fresh and clean.

With these four tricks, you can easily change wax melts in a wax burner without any hassle. Choose the method that works best for you and enjoy the fresh scent of your new wax melts!

Please note: caution should be taken with all of the above steps and it's recommended that prior to every use, you check your burner for any cracks or damage.
